J. Dale Wine passed away quietly on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, at home in Pierceton. Age 78 at the time of his passing, he was the son of the late Harry Dale Wine and Mary (McClone) Wine.

He was a lifetime Pierceton resident and a 1961 graduate of Pierceton High School. Professionally, he was retired from Da-Lite Screen in Warsaw where he started in production. He retired as plant superintendent.

On Nov. 14, 1960, he was united in marriage to Karen Sue Winsley. Their union was blessed with three children,  Jennifer (Bret) Hopkins, Pierceton, Mike (Julie) Wine, Winona Lake, and Chris (Lisa) Wine, Akron – all of whom survive. Also surviving are three grandsons, Dirk (Natalie) Hopkins, Lansing, Mich., Jonathon Wine, Winona Lake, and Austin Wine, Winona Lake; two brothers, Richard (Shirley) Wine, Warsaw, and Robert (Susie) Wine, Kansas City, Mo.; and a sister Gloria (Dave) Welling, Warsaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Samantha Hopkins.

Warsaw’s Titus Funeral Home is assisting the family with simple cremation. No service is planned at this time. Condolences may be left for the family at www.titusfuneralhome.com.
