Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 9:54 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, South SR 15 south of West CR 950S, Silver Lake. Driver: Terry L. Holmes, 50, West 26th Street, Marion. Holmes was traveling northbound on South SR 15 in the area south of West CR 950S, Silver Lake. He said another vehicle was traveling southbound on SR 15 and crossed the center line, causing him to run his vehicle off the road, striking a utility pole. Holmes complained of a bloody nose and was checked out by medics on scene. Damage: Up to $10,000.
- 11:12 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, West SR 25, south of West Shilling Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Emily Przewoznik, 17, West Main Street, Mentone; and Jesse L. Hutcherson, 25, South Terrace Drive, Claypool. Przewoznik was traveling northbound on West SR 25 and failed to stop for Hutcherson’s vehicle. Przewoznik’s vehicle struck Hutcherson’s. Damage: Up to $25,000.
- 5:22 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, South CR 950W south of West CR 25S, Etna Green. Driver: Fermin Ayala, 26, Primrose Lane, Akron. Ayala was traveling northbound on South CR 950W in the area south of West CR 25S, Etna Green, when her vehicle hit a deer. Damage: Up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 9:13 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, South SR 25 and Rozella Road, Warsaw. Driver: Paul E. Perry, 58, Nappanee. Perry was traveling northbound on South SR 25 near the intersection of Rozella Road, Warsaw. He said his vehicle hit a dog or coyote. Damage: Up to $2,500.
- 5:25 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2400 E. Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Bradley A. Himes, 30, North Oakwood Drive, Warsaw; and Chanda K. Allen, 50, West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Himes was parking in the Walgreens parking lot. He pulled his vehicle into a stall as Allen was opening her vehicle door in the stall next to it. His vehicle hit her door. Allen’s foot was caught in between the door upon impact, which caused bruising. She declined to have her foot checked out by medics. Damage: Up to $2,500.
