LPC used a pair of big scoring nights to roll past LCA in Winona Lake Thursday night.
Frannie Talarico hit five three-pointers and netted 19 points and Chloe Jolloff added three more treys and 17 total points for the Panthers.
Alexis Miller led the Cougars (5-5) with 11 points and both Jessi Calizo and Natalie Norris added seven points.
Tippecanoe Valley Girls 62, Manchester 49
The Lady Vikes wrapped up its Three Rivers Conference season with a win at home Thursday night.
Valley (13-7, 7-2 TRC) finished in a tie for second in the conference’s final standings with Rochester, the Zebras whipped by Northfield Thursday as the Norse finished a perfect run of the conference table.
Sid Wagner led the way for Valley with 20 points, Lily Ault poured in 15 points, Kaydence Mellott added 11 points and Ashley Butler chipped in seven points.
Manchester (10-12, 5-4 TRC) had Ainsley West pace the squad with 17 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal. Eva Bazzoni added 10 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and three assists.
The Valley JV beat the Squires 42-19.
Lakeland Christian Academy Boys 43, South Bend Trinity 42 (OT)
Silas Gagnon was the hero for the Cougars Thursday at Trinity.
Gagnon’s hook shot went in at the buzzer in overtime to give LCA the road win. Landon Gause and Ben Jackson each hit threes to force the overtime session. Gause led the Cougars with 20 points and Jackson and Cameron Shepherd each had six points in the win.
“We were in a dog fight tonight,” noted LCA head coach Jake Ritchie. “We knew coming in that Trinity will push us with the way they play. Their defense is always one of the best in the state. They play hard, physical and fly around the floor. We fought. We fought foul trouble again tonight which is a little upsetting because it’s our second straight game.”
