Homestead 107.3, Warsaw 80.55
Warsaw took its shot at a state finalist, but had no answers for the talented Homestead outfit Tuesday night on Parker Street.
Homestead took the top five scores in all four disciplines, led by Gina Zirille’s leading marks in all five columns. Zirille posted 9.4 on vault, 8.925 on bars, 9.5 on beam and 9.6 on floor to lead the way. Kendyl Bond was runner-up on bars at 8.575 and floor at 9.025, Jillian Wohlwend had an 8.95 on vault and 8.675 on beam for second on each event. The two lead the all-around, Zirille at a sparkling 37.425 and Wohlwent at 34.7. Allison Sierks was third in all-around at 33.725.
Sydni Purvis was fourth in the all-around at 31.275 to lead Warsaw’s scoring. It’s Iron Three of Purvis, Brooke Bolinger and Julianne Olson worked all events while Ella Collins was just floor for the Tigers.
Purvis scored 8.4 on vault, 7.375 on bars, 7.0 on beam and 8.5 on floor in her workload, all sixth place totals. Bolinger had a 7.95 on vault and Olson a 6.65 on floor among the other scores.
