Snow Totals Ranged Between 5-8 Inches

WARSAW — On Jan. 3, a band of snow formed along a line from Fulton County in Indiana to Hillsdale County in Michigan. The band produced snow totals in the 3-5 inch range, with higher amounts in some areas locally, according to the National Weather Service.
The counties with the highest amounts of snowfall were Kosciusko, Noble, Fulton and Whitley. The hardest-hit county was Kosciusko, with reported amounts of 5-8” around Lake Wawasee in Syracuse. Snowfall amounts between 3-4.2 inches were reported in Warsaw.
In Fulton County, Rochester received 4 inches and Kewanna received 3.5 inches.
Albion received the most snowfall in Noble County, at a reported 5.1 inches.
In Whitley County, reports of snowfall amounts were between 1 and 4 inches in Columbia City.
