Freezing Rain Expected For New Year’s Day

WARSAW — 2021 will start off messy, with freezing rain in the forecast.
Both snow and freezing rain, possibly mixed with sleet, will arrive before 8 a.m. Friday, Jan. 1. The high will be near 42.
The precipitation will change to freezing rain between 8 a.m. and noon, then turn into rain after the noon hour. Winds will be 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph, National Weather Service predicts.
New ice accumulation of 0.1 to 0.3 of an inch is possible on New Year’s.
New Year’s Eve will be partly cloudy with a high near 34.
