Kosciusko County Reports Two New COVID-19 Deaths

WARSAW — Since Wednesday, Dec. 23, Kosciusko County has had two new COVID-19 deaths, according to the Indiana Department of Health website.
The county has now recorded 68 deaths and 6,675 cases.
Marshall County Health Department reported four new COVID-19 deaths since Dec. 23, bringing the county’s total to 73. Marshall County has 4,385 positive cases.
The Fulton County Health Department also recently reported one new COVID-19 death since Dec. 23, bringing the county’s total to 24. Fulton County has 1,352 positive cases.
Whitley County Health Department reported three new COVID-19 deaths since Dec. 23, bringing the county’s total to 20. Whitley County has 2,386 positive cases.
Statewide, the IDH website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 7,539, which is up from 7,306 reported on Wednesday.
The total positive number of reported COVID-19 cases in Indiana is now at 496,306. More than 5,553,000 COVID-19 tests have been administered to Hoosiers.
Locally, Wabash County has 2,555 positive cases, Noble County has 3,912 positive cases and Elkhart County has 22,382.
In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 39,049 positive cases, which is up from 37,686 reported on Wednesday; Allen County has 27,231 positive cases; and St. Joseph County has 23,857 positive cases.
According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, more than 333,000 people in the United States have died due to COVID-19.
