Tippecanoe Valley Girls 42, Fairfield 29

The Lady Vikings earned a solid non-conference win Thursday with a big closeout of the Falcons on Rita Price Simpson Court.

Kaydence Mellott caught fire from outside again, hitting five treys and settling with 17 points to lead the Vikes. Sidney Wagner had 11 points and Lily Ault added five points.

Valley (6-3) did a number on the eight-win Falcons, holding them to five points in the first quarter, and just three field goals in the second half, just one point in the fourth quarter.

Morgan Gawthrop led Fairfield with nine points.

The Valley JV also won with a score of 37-22. The scoring leaders for the Valley JV were Molly Moriarty and Sadie Snapp with 10 and Chesnee Miller with eight.

Warsaw C-Team 38, Wawasee 26

The Warsaw-Wawasee hoops weekend began with the C-Team contest, which the Tigers held firm Thursday evening at Warsaw.

The Warriors had Carson Smith lead the team with eight points and Skyler Ganshorn with seven points. Warsaw did not report its scoring.
