Pets Of The Week
Press Release
PIERCETON — Pets of the Week are available for adoption at the Animal Welfare League, 1048 S. CR 325E, Pierceton.
Chance
Here at the AWL, we pride ourselves on being fluent in DoggoLingo. This week’s lesson is about “floofers” and “woofers.” Woofers are large breed dogs, and floofers are big old woofers with really fluffy and hairy coats. Chance is one of the floofiest woofers residing at our shelter. This one-year-old, neutered, male Chow Chow mix was brought to us as a stray and weighs 62 pounds. He tested positive for heart worms and we named him Chance, because that is exactly what he deserves.
We took Chance to a local groomer, The Underground Hound, for a spa day and the story of the giant fluffy sweetheart spread. Donations for Chance’s heartworm treatment poured in and we immediately made an appointment for him. Now that Chance has recovered, he is ready to find his “furever” family. Chance loves attention, cuddles and going outside for walks. Call to make an appointment to meet Chance today.
Chance’s adoption fee is $130.
Peppa
Peppa Pink Nose, as she is affectionately called, loves to greet AWL visitors by rubbing herself against their legs. She is the queen bee of our free-roaming cat room. Peppa is a three-year-old, spayed, female Domestic Short Hair mix. She has a white and patched tabby coat and bright green eyes. Peppa enjoys playing games of hide-and-seek, having her chin scratched and cozy blankets to nap on. She would do best in a quiet, dog-free home, with older children. She also does well with other feline friends. Call to make an appointment to visit Peppa today.
Peppa’s adoption fee is $75.
