SYRACUSE — Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce is encouraging residents and businesses alike to decorate with Christmas lights this year as part of a “Let It Glow” competition.

The holiday lights competition will run Dec. 5-30. Residents are asked to add Christmas lights to their homes and/or decorate the light pole in front of their homes while businesses should light up their storefronts for the holidays.

If you plan to participate, email the chamber with your name and address. The chamber will create a map for the community to tour the holiday beauty. Your holiday decor will also be showcased on social media, where “likes” will be counted as votes. The chamber will give special awards for the most liked displays that spread Christmas cheer.
