WARSAW — The pilot of a small plane that crashed Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Warsaw Municipal Airport escaped without any injuries.
That’s according to Warsaw Police Public Information Officer Brad Kellar. He also said a gust of wind was most likely the cause of the accident.
Kellar said the pilot of the plane had landed at the airport and was turning his plane around when wind caught it. That caused the plane to crash into the grass.
The incident occurred about 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Warsaw Police were assisted at the scene by Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory and Lutheran EMS.
