Bell Memorial Library Closed Thursday And Friday
Press Release
MENTONE — Bell Memorial Public Library in Mentone will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26-27, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The staff at BMPL wish people a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! The library will reopen again at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 30.
Book Sale And More
The library is having a book sale in its main lobby! Stop in and check it out; there’s something for everyone! Books are 25 cents each or five for $1 or a bag may be filled to the rim for $5. These books must not be returned to the library as it is unable to accept donations at this time due to COVID-19.
Curbside services are always available! Please call 574-353-7234 to request materials. People may also email Stephen Boggs at [email protected].
Demand has certainly risen for internet hot spots, and the library has just added three new units for patron use.
The units are free to use, may be reserved, circulate for one week and are only available to residents in the library’s tax district, which includes the town of Mentone and Harrison Township, or to patrons who have purchased a library card. The hot spots use the T-Mobile/Sprint network and have exceedingly good download speeds and connectivity. Just contact the library with any questions.
Another new library service is the patron use VHS videotape converter to digital. Contact Boggs at 574-353-7234 or [email protected] to set up a time to come to the library to learn how to use the machine and begin digitizing homemade videotapes. Users will need to bring their own storage device such as a USB flash drive (4GB minimum) or an external hard drive. Copying off-air programs is not allowed.
Plans are also being considered to add a document/photo scanner, which will include a 35mm film or slide scanner, a circuit machine for patron use and a 3-D printer. Just contact Boggs for more details.
