Trojans Land Four On All-HNAC

FULTON – The Hoosier North Athletic Conference had a tough go this season in football, but still were happy to release its honorees for All-Conference.
The conference had teams manage to get in five to seven games against one-another, so the league determined it would not crown a conference team champion. Instead, it honored the athletes with All-HNAC and Honorable Mention, as well as Conference Offensive and Defensive MVPs.
Triton finished 2-4 in conference games and had three make First Team All-HNAC in Hunter McIntyre, Lucas Cabrera and Jeremiah Farrell. Nate Amsden was named Honorable Mention All-HNAC.
Pioneer was the lone undefeated team in the conference slate, going 5-0. Ezra Lewellen was named Offensive MVP and a First Team pick, along with teammates Addai Lewellen, Brock Robinson, Derrick LeGrand, Tyler Gaumer, Wyatt Marshall, Zac Taylor and Logan Smith. Honorable Mention went to Mason Schurpel.
Completing the All-HNAC selections were Caston’s Sam Smith, who was also the Defensive MVP; Culver’s Shane Shuman; Knox’s Cade Short, Gunner Wagner, Gabe Lovins and Braxton Geller; LaVille’s Layton Czarnecki, Ayden Doyle, Andrew Dill, Evan Bettcher, Tyler Studon and Garrett Wagoner; North Judson’s Trey Hampton, Eli Blount, Dylan Marin, Brennen Benson, Cheyenne Allen and Tabor Brown; and Winamac’s Russell Compton, Logan Schultz and Trent Fox.
Honorable Mention’s went to Caston’s Grant Hickle; Culver’s Hunter Evans and Marquez Anderson; Knox’s Kenan Collins and Trevor Busse; LaVille’s AJ Bedock and Lucas Plummer; North Judson’s Keaton Redlin; and Winamac’s Jaden Terry and Brayden Lynch.
The full team standings were Pioneer (5-0), LaVille (4-1), North Judson (5-2), Knox (4-2), Winamac (3-2), Triton (2-4), Culver (1-6) and Caston (0-7).
