SYRACUSE — For a virtual Veterans Day program, Wawasee High School Pathways Digital Audio/Video Media Production class put together a YouTube video honoring Medal of Honor recipient Harry Michael, who was from Milford and fought and died in World War II. Instructors Jeremy Van Lue and Phil Huffman supervised the project.

“My friend and colleague Dave Baumgartner (Wawasee Class of 1971) along with our Assistant Principal John Snyder and our student council learned of Harry’s story and wanted to share it with our students and staff,” Van Lue said. “He is one of 3,500 or so Medal of Honor recipients from our own backyard and we felt that our students, staff and community needed to know about this extraordinary story.”
