Violet Jane Witterman, 83, Bremen, passed away at 4:23 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center of Mishawaka.

Violet was born on June 3, 1937, in Ravenswood, W. Va.

She is survived by two children, Constance (Jack) Sawicki of Ligonier and Timothy (Marika) Kunder of Bremen; five grandchildren, Cheri Newcomer, Amy Skinner, Todd Eyler, Amber Kunder and Anthony Kunder; nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marlin Witterman, son, Curtis Imler, two sisters and two brothers.

Violet’s hobbies included treasure seeking with her husband, playing Bingo, bowling in her early years and spending time with her daughter, Connie, on the penny slots at the casino. She loved watching Steve Harvey on Family Feud.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10, in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with burial in Bremen Cemetery. Masks are required and social distancing will be practiced. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to be made to R.E.A.L. Services, 1151 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN 46601.
