MENTONE — The Mentone Chamber of Commerce and community members gathered at Ace Hardware of Mentone to celebrate the store’s new owner through a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 24.

As of Sept. 25, Devin Severns is the hardware store’s new owner. Severns has worked at the store for 12 years prior to becoming the new owner.

“I’m excited to do it and be a part of the community,” said Severns. “There are some parts that I hope to grow in the store, but I want to also keep a lot of things the same.”

Ace Hardware of Mentone is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays; and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
