Injuries Reported In Two-Vehicle Collision Near Atwood

ATWOOD — At least one person sustained injuries in a two-vehicle accident near US 30 in Atwood.
Shortly before 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, Atwood and Etna Township Fire Departments responded to a report of a head-on collision involving two vehicles on CR 800W, just north of US 30 and near Crazy Joe’s Fireworks store in Atwood.
One of the people involved was temporarily entrapped in their vehicle. A white Ford Escape sustained heavy side damage and lost a back tire, while a silver Pontiac received front-end damage.
Also assisting at the scene were Etna Township First Responders, Lutheran EMS and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
