Date Set For Final Step In Conservancy Formation

SYRACUSE — The final step in forming the Turkey Creek Dam and Dike Conservancy District has been set for 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, in Kosciusko County Circuit Court. Judge Michael Reed will hear oral testimony and accept documentary evidence.
The hearing is open to any interested person to present documents and testimony regarding the formation of the conservancy district. According to a legal notice, which will be published in The Mail-Journal Nov. 4 and 11, at the conclusion of the hearing, the petitioners will request entry of a court order to create the district.
In addition to attending the hearing, any person may file with the court prior to the hearing date pertinent information relevant to the creation of the conservancy district noting the cause number 43C01-1912-MI-000249 and mailing the information to Kosciusko Circuit Court, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw, IN 46580.
The purpose of the formation of this conservancy district is to oversee future repair and maintenance of the Syracuse Lake Level Water Control Device and the dike located south of Harkless Drive, Syracuse.
