WARSAW – A familiar face has been chosen to guide the Warsaw boys golf program.

Jack Carpenter has been announced as the new coach of the Tiger program, having a generation of coaching experience in and around the high school scene.

Carpenter coached at Triton High School for 22 years, both boys and girls golf, and helped the Trojans to a sectional championship and five regional appearances. Triton twice advanced to the IHSAA State Finals as a team and Carpenter guided several golfers to area and regional success, including his own children – TJ, Griffyn and Quentyn, in their golf careers at Triton.

Over his tenure at Triton, Carpenter accumulated 255 dual wins and eight conference championships.

Carpenter is a Bethel University graduate and has been teaching at Triton Elementary for 35 years. He was inducted into the Bethel Athletic Hall of Fame after a successful set of basketball and golf careers, and is also in the Triton High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

In a statement, the well-established golf enthusiast Carpenter said, “I myself am an avid golfer and I believe that my golf experiences can aid in developing kids into competitive golfers and creating a very competitive team.”

Carpenter replaces Rich Haddad, who guided the Tigers for two years, three counting this past spring’s canceled season.
