Warsaw Man Arrested After Narcotics Investigation In Atwood

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested following a narcotics investigation in Atwood.
Dennis Dean Meade, 53, 866 Pine Mills Road, Warsaw, is charged with dealing in methamphetamine, a level 2 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a level 3 felony; and neglect of a dependent, a level 6 felony.
On Oct. 8, Meade was at Atwood Auto Sales while officers were conducting a narcotics investigation at that location.
According to court documents, an officer spoke with Meade and asked if he had anything illegal on his person. Meade told the officer he had methamphetamine on him. While searching Meade, the officer found 38 grams of methamphetamine.
Meade admitted he was going to deal the methamphetamine to make sufficient funds to complete an automobile transaction. Meade also brought a child with him to the transaction and acknowledged that he shouldn’t have brought the child.
Meade was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Oct. 8, with a $20,250 surety and cash bond.
