SYRACUSE — Hit the trails and enjoy the color of fall on the Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation’s educational property at the sixth annual WACF’s Falltastic Trail Walk from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, and Sunday, Oct. 11. The weather should be perfect to enjoy a walk on the trails.
WACF’s Educational Center property has more than three miles of seasonally decorated groomed trails to explore at each person’s own pace. You may also find plenty of opportunity for photographs.
The trails will not only be decorated for fall but include informational placards. New placards have been added to give information about the foundation’s Wawasee Inlet Nutrient Study and what has been learned.
Bring the kids and/or pets to this free family event. Dogs need to be on a leash.
WACF Levinson-LaBrosse Lakes & Wetlands Education Center is located at 11586 N. SR 13, one mile south of Syracuse. There is plenty of parking.

Pam Schumm, WACF Education Chair, gives hand outs to Autumn and Jameson Hart and Maleah Johnson on some items to look for on the trails during th 2019 Falltastic Trail Walk.
