WARSAW — A man with addresses in both Mishawaka and Milford was sentenced in Kosciusko County Circuit Court Monday, Oct. 5.

Eric Michael Rasmussen, 40, with addresses listed as 415 Sugar Pine, Mishawaka, and 13981 B North CR 400W, Milford, pleaded guilty to dealing in a narcotic drug, a level 5 felony.

In February 2019, the NET43 Drug Task Force conducted a controlled purchase of 2.5 grams of heroin from Rasmussen in Kosciusko County. 

Rasmussen was sentenced to three years in the Kosciusko County Jail. Judge Michael Reed ordered the final year of the sentence to be suspended and served on formal probation.

For the two-year executed portion of the sentence, Judge Reed said he would not be opposed to Rasmussen serving that time through Community Corrections, provided Rasmussen qualifies and is accepted into the program.

Rasmussen was given 16 days of jail time credit.
