Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 7:03 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, South CR 700W and SR 25, Warsaw. Driver: Gvonte J. Green, 17, Maye Street, Warsaw. Green’s vehicle went off the road and struck a telephone junction box. Damage up to $2,500.
- 5:23 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, Old Road 30, east of North CR 650E, Pierceton. Driver: Nicole R. Olsen, 27, Springfield Drive, Warsaw. Olsen’s vehicle collided with a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
- 3:43 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, SR 25, south of South CR 600W, Mentone. Driver: Michael R. Christie, 33, Huntington Street, Syracuse. Christie said his vehicle was approaching a curve in the road when another vehicle came into his lane, causing him to swerve. Christie’s vehicle left the roadway and went into a ditch. Damage up to $2,500.
- 4:13 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, US 30, Warsaw. Driver: Bobby R. Jenkins, 49, Padenreich Avenue, Gadsden, Ala. Jenkins’ vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
- 2:48 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, US 30, Warsaw. Driver: Dillan R. Morrison, 22, Monroe Street, Walkerton. Morrison’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $25,000.
- 4:08 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Krysta R. Adams, 35, Scott Road, Claypool; and Betty A. Voges, 69, Crystal Lake Road, Warsaw. Adams said she did not see Voges’ vehicle when she entered the roadway, and the vehicles collided. Damage up to $10,000.
- 7:40 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, West CR 200S and Tinkey Road, Warsaw. Driver: Emily Przewoznik, 16, Main Street, Mentone. Przewoznik’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 12:23 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, East Prairie Street and South Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Cynthia A. Kyle, 54, Wooster Road, Winona Lake. Kyle said she was on her way to her residence and had been drinking prior to driving. She stated she did not know how her vehicle went off the road and struck a fence located on private property owned by Kosciusko REMC. Kyle was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Damage up to $25,000.
- 5:36 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, County Farm Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Karen Briney, 72, Old Farm Road, Warsaw; and Brittany A. Paxton, 36, South CR 500W, Silver Lake. Briney was driving eastbound in a private drive at Miller’s Merry Manor. As she attempted to merge into the single lane of travel, her vehicle struck Paxton’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
