Trojans Land Top 10s
Triton didn’t contend in the team races at the Hoosier North Athletic Conference Championships, but did send several within the top 10 among the boys and girls races at Winamac Saturday morning.
The Lady Trojans had Jocelynn Faulkner place fifth at 20:28 and Annie Hill next in sixth at 22:02. The boys saw Brandon Kitch place eighth at 18:39.
Triton’s girls took fourth overall with 99 points, one better than North Judson in the six-team grid. Makenna May (25:00), Valerie Eib (25:34) and Anna McIntyre (27:05) made up the scorers for the Lady Trojans.
On the boys side, Triton was sixth of six with 117 points. Scorers for the Trojans included Tyler Gladieux (19:56), Cory Hill (20:02), Trent Barnhart (21:42) and Parker Alford (25:28).
Caston won the boys title and Winamac won the girls title. Winamac’s Kolbey Wegner won the boys race at 17:03 and fellow Warrior Kate Collins took the girls individual title with a 19:44.
Howes, Miller Earn Top 10s
Valley’s boys took eighth place and Matthew Howes was also eighth with a 17:30 to highlight the Vikings at the Three Rivers Conference Championships hosted by Valley.
Chase Miller (19:49), Brady Rodgers (19:53), Evan Myers (20:21) and Jace Holloway (20:50) were the scorers for the Vikings.
Valley’s girls didn’t have enough for a team score, but did have Chesnee Miller place eighth overall with her time of 21:22.
Ella Myers (23:30), Maria Henderson (24:56) and Talia Holder (26:13) were active for the Lady Vikes.
Wabash won the boys title and Rochester the girls title, with Southwood’s Braden Sweet winning the boys ladder at 16:20 and Rochester’s Madilyn Calloway the queen of the course at 19:21.
