WINONA LAKE — A local group that works to bring awareness to child sex trafficking will be holding an event in Winona Lake this Saturday, Oct. 3.

The event, hosted by The Time is Now, will begin with a Celebration of Survivors 5K Run or Walk starting at 3 p.m. All 5K entries will receive a free T-shirt, bib and participation medal. Top finishers in each age category will receive a ribbon.

From 5 to 7 p.m., there will be an auction, music, food vendors, baked goods and kids’ activities.

The Time is Now is an organization from Bourbon. All proceeds raised from the event will go directly to The Time is Now to further help in their mission to love, heal and support victims.
