Columbia City 3, Tippecanoe Valley 0
Valley lost its second straight road contest, falling at City 25-21, 25-18, 25-18.
Hannah Engstrand paced the Vikings (5-4) with 12 assists and 12 digs, Hayley Backus had four kills and three blocks, Delaney Wagoner chipped in five kills and Brayden Baney dug 11 attempts.
In the JV contest, City beat Valley 25-20, 25-22. Emily McGriff led Valley with three kills and two blocks.
NorthWood 3, South Bend Riley 0
NorthWood got back on track at home Monday, beating the Wildcats 25-14, 25-18, 25-17.
In the win, NorthWood (11-3) played its usual strong defense led by Kennedy Hochstetler’s 16 digs, with Annika Bennett one back at 15 and Macy Lengacher at 14 digs. Lengacher and Bre Wise had four aces apiece, Alea Minnich led the team with 10 kills and Kendal Miller sent up 27 assists.
Wawasee 3, Westview 0
Wawasee got back to its winning ways with a sweep of Westview 25-19, 25-20, 25-15.
The big three up front were working for the Lady Warriors (9-4), led by Leslie Vazquez’s 13 kills and 14 digs. Bailey Mayhew had 10 kills and two blocks, and Emma Dippon sent home eight kills. Amanda Allen had 31 assists and a combined 15 digs were recorded by Kai Jamora and Elizabeth Miller.
Zoe Taylor’s 10 kills and Emma Young’s 19 assists, five aces and a block helped push Wawasee to a 25-8, 25-17 win over Westview.
Warsaw Freshman 2, Penn 0
The Warsaw freshmen stayed unbeaten with a 25-12, 25-20 victory. Collette Blackburn, Abbie Mauk, Olivia Devenney and Claire Reichenbach each had two kills in the win. Sadie Humbarger added eight digs.
