Trinity 3, LCA 1

All of the scoring came in the second half, and Trinity had more of it in a Hoosier Plains Conference win Friday evening in Winona Lake.

Joy Hanes had the lone goal for the hosts, striking paydirt on a free kick from 19 yards out to tie the match at 1-1. Trinity took the lead for good in the 55th minute and added insurance a couple minutes later.

“The girls played well and battled hard even though we were missing Avery Hobbs tonight,” noted LCA head coach Nat Raber. “Liza Schmitt filled in very well. I am seeing growth even in the loss that I am encouraged with.”

LCA (3-4-1) travels to Wabash on Tuesday.
