WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Community Foundation is hosting an art installation ceremony on at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14.
The art piece titled “Lighting the Way” was created in bronze relief by Indiana artist Steve Shelby. This piece was created to honor Suzie Light’s recent retirement after 27 years as director and CEO of the foundation.
The art piece will be displayed on the side of the foundation building at 102 E. Market St., Warsaw. The ceremony will be attended by both Shelby and Light, along with members of the foundation’s staff and board.
The art piece was first presented during Light’s retirement party held in August. At that time, the piece was described as a plaque as celebrating Light’s extraordinary contributions to the community and her intrinsic ability to unleash the power of philanthropy.
Light was also given a miniature version of the art piece to wear as a brooch.
