Tennis Results: Sept. 9
West Noble 3, Wawasee 2
In the middle leg of three straight days of interscholastic tennis, the Wawasee boys came close to pulling out a team victory. Holden Babb snagged the one singles court with a three set victory. Devon Kuhn also put one in the W column for the Warriors in straight sets, as did the one doubles pairing of Grant Brooks and Blaine Baut.
Zeke Keim fell in straight sets on the two singles court while Ty Brooks and Nathan Harper dropped the two doubles match in similar fashion.
The Warriors head north on Thursday for an NLC matchup with Northridge.
Penn 5, NorthWood 0
Penn tennis coach Eric Bowers may be a NorthWood graduate, but his team certainly showed no mercy to his alma mater on Wednesday evening. Like their NLC brethren from Wawasee, the Panthers were in the middle of three straight days of tennis.
All five Panther courts fell in straight sets, including NorthWood’s usually reliable Ben Vincent in one singles, who fell two and zero.
NorthWood returns to the courts on Thursday as they hit the road to take on NLC rival Goshen.
