Volleyball Results: Sept. 8
Tippecanoe Valley 3, North Miami 0
Valley won its fifth match in a row Tuesday, beating Three Rivers Conference rival North Miami 25-11, 25-15, 25-9 in Denver.
The Vikings (5-2, 4-0 TRC) were led by Delaney Wagner with eight kills, eight digs and a block. Bree Sheetz added 10 kills, Hannah Engstrand had 28 assists and Brayden Baney had 14 digs.
The JV from Valley also won in straights, 25-20, 25-22. Karli Hogue had nine digs, Abby Koch seven assists and Mallory Bowers had three kills and a block.
North Judson 3, Triton 0
North Judson maintained its hold on the traveling HNAC trophy after a 25-18, 25-18, 25-19 win at home over Triton.
After starting the season 6-1, Triton has dropped three straight, the latest its first loss in the HNAC to fall to 2-1 in conference place.
The trio of Addyson Viers, Abbey Viers and Madeline Doll combined for 19 kills while Doll and Molly McFarland had 20 total digs. Emma Hepler sent up 17 assists and Abbey Viers had four aces.
The Judson JV also won 25-21, 24-25, 19-17.
Warsaw 3, Northridge 1
Senior Night at the Tiger Den saw Warsaw reel in its third straight Northern Lakes Conference win and eighth match overall in a 25-18, 25-14, 21-25, 25-20 marathon with the Raiders.
Defense was on display for the Tigers (11-5, 3-0 NLC) as three players hit double digits in digs with Cora West leading the way with 19, followed by Kylie Smith with 15 and Abbie Porter with 12. Elizabeth Schmidt added six.
Avery Hales had another solid night. The country’s leading setter put up 37 more Tuesday to go along with seven digs, six kills and three aces.
Kennedy Lauck added nine kills and four blocks.
Warsaw’s JV won 25-16, 25-20, led by five kills and five digs by Jael Namfukwe.
The Tiger freshmen also beat Ridge 25-10, 25-22. Claire Reichenbach had 14 assists and four aces in the win.
