Phyllis O. Hollar
Phyllis O. Hollar, 91, Goshen, formerly of New Paris, died 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Waterford Crossing Assisted Living.
She was born Jan. 29, 1929 in Syracuse, to Murrill C. & Bernice (Clark) Neff. On Feb. 5, 1950, she married Joseph Hollar Jr. and he died May 6, 2005.
Surviving are a daughter: Michelle (Scott) Sanchez, New Paris, two sons: Michael (Janet) Hollar, Loudon, Tennessee; Mitchell (Cathy) Hollar, Deming, New Mexico, 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren and a brother Robert Neff, New Paris.
Preceding her in death are her parents, brothers, Harold Neff, Elmer Neff, sisters, Waneta Kuczynski, and Anna Mary Wilhelm.
Phyllis was a 1946 graduate of New Paris High School and a member of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren, New Paris. She was a clerk at the New Paris Post Office for 34 years.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, and the funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 20, all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen.
The service will be streamed live through the funeral home website, www.rrefh.com. Burial will follow at New Paris Cemetery. Pastor Dwayne Runkel of Maple Grove Church of the Brethren will officiate.
