North Webster Library Offers New App Service
News Release
NORTH WEBSTER – North Webster Community Public Library patrons can now manage their library accounts from their mobile devices by downloading the Evergreen Mobile App from their app store.
The Evergreen library app is available for both iPhones and Android devices.
The app can be used to search the library’s catalog, place hold requests, view what has been checked out, manage multiple accounts, and get information about other libraries within the statewide Evergreen library system. A special app feature includes a digital replica of your library card on your phone that can be used to check out items when visiting the library. When you have the Evergreen Mobile App, you always have your library with you.
Due to health and safety reasons, many parents are choosing to homeschool their children this school year. Parents can find homeschooling resources at North Webster Library by searching the online catalog. The Youth Department also offers the NEST Learning System that includes workbooks and corresponding biographical and biblical DVDs.
The collection includes over 50 workbooks and DVDs that cover a wide range of historical figures and biblical subjects. The staff can also assist in locating resources from other libraries.
Adults can get homeschooling for themselves by enrolling in free online Gale Courses offered through the library’s website www.nweb.lib.in.us. North Webster Library cardholders can access online over 300 high-quality personal enrichment, career training, and professional development courses using their library card.
Taught by expert instructors, courses cover all types of topics and subjects and include online discussions, hands-on assignments, and interactions with other students. Some courses offer accredited continuing education credits. To get started, simply click on the Gale Courses icon on the library’s home page.
