Three-Vehicle Collision Saturday Night; Treatment Refused

NORTH WEBSTER — Three vehicles collided on SR 13, just south of Backwater Road, south of North Webster Saturday evening, which caused the highway to be closed for just over an hour. The drivers all refused medical treatment at the scene according to Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Francis, public information officer.
The collision occurred when a northbound Volvo driven by Michael Moore, 36, Cromwell, went left of center on SR 13 as it approached Backwater Road. The vehicle clipped a southbound 2010 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Jason Alley, 43, Winona Lake. Moore’s vehicle continued left of center and hit a southbound 2020 Subaru Forester driven by Alexa Olsen, 22, Munster.
Damage was estimated around $50,000.
North Webster/Tippecanoe Township Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, North Webster Police Department and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded. Lutheran Air Ambulance was notified but was advised to disregard the response.
