Six Members Of Troop 726 Recognized For Achieving Eagle Scout Rank

WARSAW — Six members of North Webster Scout Troop 726 were honored at the Kosciusko County Commissioners meeting Tuesday, Aug. 4, for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.
The six Eagle Scouts are Zack Clark, Myles Lauber, Noah Beckner, Taylor Fiedeke, Wesley Hays and Frank Sexton.
Zack Clark, Syracuse, is the son of Lori Parrett and Jeff Clark. He will be a freshman at Vincennes University this fall. He started in Cub Scouts in August of 2009 and joined Troop 726 in October 2012. Zack obtained his Eagle rank on Oct. 17, 2019. His Eagle Court of Honor was held July 26.
Myles Lauber, North Webster, is the son of Ben and Michelle Lauber. He graduated from Wawasee High School and is working until he decides where he wants to attend college. He started in Cub Scouts in August 2009 and joined Troop 726 in October 2012. Myles obtained his Eagle rank on Dec. 18, 2019. His Eagle Court of Honor was held July 26.
Noah Beckner, Leesburg, is the son of Gina and Brad Beckner. He will be a senior at Wawasee High School. He started in Cub Scouts in September 2010 and joined Troop 726 in October 2013. Noah obtained his Eagle rank on Oct. 17, 2019. His Eagle Court of Honor will be held on Aug. 30.
Taylor Fiedeke, Syracuse, is the son of Sue and Todd Fiedeke. He will be a senior at Wawasee High School. He started in Cub Scouts in September 2010 and joined Troop 726 in October 2013. Taylor obtained his Eagle rank on April 16, 2020. His Eagle Court of Honor will be held on Aug. 30.
Wesley Hays, North Webster, is the son of Julie and Rich Hays. He will be a senior at Wawasee High School. He started in Cub Scouts in September 2010 and joined Troop 726 in October 2013. Wesley obtained his Eagle rank on Jan. 23. His Eagle Court of Honor will be held Aug. 30.
Frank Sexton, Warsaw, is the son of Amy and Ed Sexton. He will be a junior at Warsaw Community High School. He started in Cub Scouts in September 2011. He joined Troop 715 in Warsaw, then transferred to Troop 726 in November 2015. Frank obtained his Eagle rank on Feb. 28, 2019. His Eagle Court of Honor will be held Sept. 12.
Troop 726 is led by Scott Fox, who became Scoutmaster in 2008. The troop was started in 1949 by the North Webster Lions Club.
In 1954, the chartered organization changed to the North Webster United Methodist Church. Other than a period of time in the late 80s, the organization has been chartered by the North Webster United Methodist Church since that time.
Troop 726 currently has 36 scouts, with 28 boys in the boys’ troop and eight girls in the girls’ troop. They meet every Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the North Webster United Methodist Church.
Commissioner President Brad Jackson spoke of the time and effort it takes to achieve Eagle Scout status.
“I want to thank you for recognizing our Eagle Scouts,” Fox said. “Since my tenure with Troop 726 in North Webster, these are representing 27 through 32 of my Eagle Scouts that I’ve mentored since 2008 and I’m very proud.”
