Goss Continues Summer Tour Work

YORKTOWN – NorthWood junior Breanna Goss continued to gain experience with yet another high finish on the Howard Bailey Junior Tour.
The latest finish was a runner-up spot at the TPC at Woodland Trails, where Goss fired an 80 in a group of 12 players in action. Goss only trailed Muncie’s Teddi Bishop, who pieced together a 76 to top the leaderboard.
LaGrange’s Madison Keil was one behind Goss at 81 as the only other area player in the 16-19 girls division at Woodland Trails.
Of the three other divisions in play Thursday, only the 13-15 boys division had area representation.
Another Keil, this time Ben Keil, shot a 73 to represent the family well. He was three shots behind the day’s champion, Leo Wessel of Indianapolis, who carded a 70.
Silas Haarer of Middlebury finished with a 75 and another LaGrange product, Tommy Curtis, had a 96 in the day’s 18-hole play.
Host Of Locals Work At Rock Hollow
The Lifestyle Junior Golf Tour made its stop Thursday at Rock Hollow Golf Course in Peru, and a sizable group of area golfers competed in the various age groups.
The male slate had the college men leading the way, topped by a 74 from Corbin Robison, with Seth Hogan next in line at 81 and Nick Sherk at 82.
The 16-19 group had Parker Everingham and Hayden Williamson tie for honors with rounds of 75. Cooper Wiens shot an 80, with Kyle Cripe at 89 and Ben Vincent at 96.
Moving down the list were Aiden Hibbard, Brayden Miller and Caden Anderson all shooting 77 in the 14-15 division, with Earl Williams at 80. Henry Ashley at 82 led the 12-13 group, with Preston Scherer at 102 and Caleb Vincent at 119.
Dalton Hoch and Benjamin Divido each carded 40s in the 10-11 group while Tanner Glennie finished at 64.
In the girls table, two groups had local players. The 16-19 group saw Kira Schrock fire a 108, well behind the 79 from Brooke Watson. In the 12-13 division, Sophie Richmond led the way with a nine-hole round of 42.
