Daily Virus Update: County Death Toll Reaches 8

WARSAW — Between noon Friday, July 17, and noon Monday, July 20, the Kosciusko County Health Department reported a total of 84 new COVID-19 cases. This brings the county’s total number of reported cases to 694, with eight deaths.
Statewide, the latest posting on the Indiana State Department of Health website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 2,632.
The total positive number of COVID-19 cases in Indiana is now at 57,206. More than 635,000 Hoosiers have been tested for COVID-19.
Locally, Fulton County has 91 positive cases, Whitley County has 116 positive cases, Wabash County has 129 positive cases, and Noble County has 566 positive cases. Marshall County has 663 positive cases, which is up from 644 reported on Friday, July 17. Elkhart County has 4,046 positive cases.
In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 6,223 positive cases, which is up from 6,082 reported on Friday; Allen County has 3,168 positive cases; and St. Joseph County has 2,524 positive cases, which is up from 2,432 reported on Friday.
Marion County, which includes Indianapolis, has the most cases in the state at 12,843, which is up from 12,609 reported on Friday.
According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, more than 1,130,000 in the United States have recovered from COVID-19.
