WARSAW – Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer said he tentatively plans to return to work on Wednesday, July 8.
Thallemer announced last week he had been self-quarantining after testing positive for COVID-19.
Thallemer said he’s been done with self-isolating since testing positive, but was working from home for a few more days as a precaution.
He sought the test after noticing he had a fever. The fever soon receded.
Thallemer said he’s already been re-tested.
He reflected on his experience with the virus.
“Very little symptoms at all – so I feel very lucky for the way this whole thing finally has turned out. It was certainly a bump in the road, but I just hope that if anyone else, unfortunately, tests positive, I hope their overall experience is similar to mine with little symptoms at all,” Thallemer told the city council Monday night.
