WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was given a 20-year sentence in Kosciusko County Circuit Court Monday, July 6, for dealing methamphetamine.
Jamie Lee Hecke, 40, 1687 West CR 400N, Warsaw, pleaded guilty to dealing in methamphetamine, a level 2 felony.
On May 20, 2019, NET43 Drug Task Force purchased 12 grams of methamphetamine from Hecke. NET43 made an additional purchase of 14 grams of methamphetamine from Hecke on May 22, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
Judge Michael Reed sentenced Hecke to 20 years in prison, with the final two and a half years suspended, to be served on formal probation.
This sentence will be served concurrent to an identical sentence Hecke received in Marshall County.
Reed recommended that Hecke participate in the Recovery While Incarcerated program. He ordered Hecke to complete a substance abuse evaluation and to comply with any recommended treatment.
Other charges were dismissed, pursuant to the plea agreement.
Reed said he would consider a sentence modification in the future if Hecke remains conduct-clear and drug-free while in prison.
