Plymouth Man Arrested On Drug Charge Following Chase

PLYMOUTH — An attempt to stop a felony suspect resulted in a pursuit through the Plymouth area and a collision with a Marshall County Sheriff’s vehicle.
Events began at 11:57 a.m. Thursday, June 25.
Jason C. Joseph, 44, Plymouth, was arrested on initial charges of dealing methamphetamine, a level 5 felony and resisting law enforcement, a level 6 felony. He was taken to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $25,000 cash bond.
The original investigation was initiated by the Marshall County Drug Task Force officials who attempted to stop Joseph for a controlled substance-related criminal offense. Officers from Marshall County and Plymouth Police pursued the suspect through the Plymouth area. The pursuit ended when Joseph drove his vehicle into the parking lot of the Economy Inn on Michigan Street and collided with a Marshall County Sheriff’s vehicle in an attempt to evade arrest.
Joseph was quickly taken into custody.
