Wabash Duo Earn Academic All-State Awards

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana High School Golf Coaches Association recently issued its honorees for the 2019-20 boys golf Academic All-State list.
The IHSGCA selected 15 athlete from across the state to comprise its list. Over 70 applicants were considered for the awards.
To be chosen for the Academic All-State list, boys golfers must be a senior, carry at least a 3.5 GPA (or equivalent), have a minimum 1000 SAT or ACT equivalent, and have been eligible to play in at least half of his games this past spring and be eligible for the sectional roster.
The closest area athletes to make the list were a pair from Wabash High School in Taylor Coffman and Wyatt Davis.
Also making the cut for the IHSGCA honors were Brandon Kingdollar of North Newton, Sam Johnson of Hauser, Henry Meyer of Oldenburg Academy, Benny Zhang and Noah Theobald of West Lafayette, Carson Orr of Yorktown, Adam DeLong of Homestead, Braden Estes of Cathedral, Peter Girzadas of Chesterton, Andrew Karr of Valparaiso, Luke Poole of Roncalli, Tommy Newton of Lafayette Harrison and Spencer Chambers of Western.
