Williams Grabs Tour Honors At Beechwood

LAPORTE – Another day, another tournament for the crew in the Howard Bailey Junior Golf Tour Wednesday afternoon.
In the latest tournament, Nappanee’s Earl Williams claimed his first medalist of the season with an 82 to lead the field in the boys 13-15 age division.
Warsaw’s Ben Brander nearly won himself a tournament, missing top notch by a stroke with his 79, only one behind Lafayette’s Owen Hart in the 16-18 age group. Down the list was Middlebury’s Ty Miller, who shot an 85.
On the girl’s side, Breanna Goss played in her third tournament in the past week. The NorthWood junior fired an 82 to tie for third with Michigan City’s Lia Thomas in the 16-19 age group. Mishawaka’s Rosa Trippel shot an 80 to win Wednesday’s competition.
In the 13-15 girls group, Warsaw’s Olivia Robinson-Gay shot a 103 to finish fourth in her group. Granger’s Delaney Wade won the ledger with an 87.
