Kosciusko County Tourism Bureau Earns Second Tourism Award

WARSAW – The Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau (KCCVB) recently earned top honors again this year on the heels of their 2019 win for Best Visitor Guide.
The Bureau received Best Website at the 2020 Indiana Tourism Association’s Annual Indiana Tourism Conference in Elizabeth, Ind., last week. The award category was “Best Website” among entries with a marketing budget under $300,000, according to a news release from the CVB.
The VisitKosciuksoCounty.org w ebsite was newly launched in Dec. 2019, after an aggressive plan to complete in time to submit entry prior to the award submission deadline. “The judges select winners without bias because each of the four judges were from out-of-state. This gives a large amount of credibility to award recipients and their feedback is invaluable,” said Jill Boggs, Kosciusko County Convention and Visitor Bureau CEO.
Judges acknowledged that smart design is more than the look and layout of a site. It’s the feel and user experience that truly makes a smart design. The Kosciusko County Bureau’s website provides a feeling of the area’s culture in a clean layout with engaging imagery.
Boggs and the KCCVB team vetted 27 website development companies and received six bids. Reusser Design, an award-winning, digitally focused company in Roanoke, was selected to build and maintain the Bureau’s website.
Boggs credits a solid partnership with the Kosciusko County Convention Recreation Visitors Commission (Tourism Commission) for the award honors. “This Indiana tourism award would not have been achievable without this partnership in funding and overall support of our destination marketing efforts,” said Boggs.
