SYRACUSE — Those families in need will have two opportunities this week to obtain a free meal.

Health Elite, 400 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, will be providing a free meal starting at noon, Thursday, May 7, and lasting until 5 p.m. or until gone. This event is being hosted by SWCC Foundation Inc., Dynamic Spine & Rehabilitation Center, Stoney Point LLC, Polywood, Encore Sotheby’s International Realty, Tippy Creek Winery and Pro Wake Watersports.

Syracuse Knights of Columbus will be hosting another free breakfast in honor of Mother’s Day from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Knights Hall, 414 S. Sycamore St. The free pancake and sausage breakfast is the organization’s way of giving back to the community and saying Happy Mother’s Day to all.

The Knights are also doing a canned food drive for the area food pantries and collecting monetary donations they will match two for one and give to food pantries. All donations are tax deductible.
