North Webster Library Encourages Use Of Online Services
Press Release
NORTH WEBSTER — Although the North Webster Community Public Library building is closed for the health and safety of the community, the library continues to offer many online services through its website at www.nweb.lib.in.us.
Patrons can use their Evergreen library card to download e-books and audiobooks onto their computer or mobile device by clicking on the e-Indiana icon on the bottom right corner of the website’s home page. E-books and audiobooks, as well as movies, can also be downloaded from Hoopla, also found on the home page, by using their North Webster Library card, said a news release from the North Webster Public Library.
On the Research Tools page, patrons can access a vast variety of information through A to Z and Inspire databases. BrainHQ is a brain exercise program offering over two dozen scientifically proven mental exercises to help boost quicker thinking, better focus, improved memory and other benefits. Gale Courses offer free interactive, instructor-led courses that range from professional development to personal enrichment. The language learning program Rosetta Stone is also available through the Inspire Database. All these programs can be accessed free of charge using a North Webster Library card.
Genealogy resources can be found on the Local History and Genealogy page as well as lots of fun and educational activities for kids and teens on the Youth Resources page.
If you do not have an Evergreen library card, Tippecanoe Township residents and property owners can apply for one online at https://evergreen.lib.in.us/eg/opac/register?locg=39. Once your information is reviewed, you will be emailed an Evergreen library card number and PIN. Then you will be able to access the many services available on the library’s website.
Be sure to visit the library’s Facebook page for current information and to stay connected with other patrons and staff while the library building is closed.
