INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has released a heartbreaking tribute to fallen Officer Breann Leath.
Officer Leath, 24, died earlier this week after being shot while responding to a domestic battery call.
She was a veteran of the National Guard and had served with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department for three years. She is survived by her 3-year-old son, her parents, who both serve with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and two sisters who have worked in corrections.
Created by IMPD Officer Ron Shelnutt, the video documents all of the events surrounding Leath’s funeral on Thursday.
The video combines audio clips of speakers such as Governor Eric Holcomb and Mayor Joe Hogsett, along with drone footage and audio of her final 10-42 call.
