Mary “Sue” Blanton, 74, Claypool, passed away at 7:43 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2020, in her residence.

She was born Sept. 14, 1945, in Silver Lake, to William and Vicie (England) Hopkins. She was united in marriage to Gene Blanton on Oct. 3, 1962, in Paintsville, Ky.

Survivors include her husband: Gene Blanton, Claypool; children: Tammie (Jackie) Rich, Claypool; Roger (Lesa) Blanton, Etna Green; Danny Blanton, Warsaw; Candi Kayler, Warsaw; and Ron (Carla) Blanton, Pierceton. In addition, she is survived by sisters: Linda Bennett, Atwood; and Betty (Hobert) Ratliff, Warsaw; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents; and a son: Brandon L. Blanton in October 2019.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, April 10, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A public graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 10, in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
