Trippiedi, Leasure Named All-TRC
ROCHESTER – The Tippecanoe Valley duo of Tanner Trippiedi and Paul Leasure were included among the stars of the Three Rivers Conference in its All-TRC boys basketball awards, the conference issued Thursday evening.
Trippiedi, Valley’s only senior, was among 15 picks for the First Team. Joining Trippiedi in the honors was Valley freshman Paul Leasure, who was named Honorable Mention All-TRC. The Vikings finished tied with Rochester for seventh in the conference standings with a 3-6 mark.
Wabash ran the table in the TRC, and its 9-0 mark produced three on the All-TRC First Team in Trent Daughtry, Elijah Vander Velden and Dereck Vogel. Each team in the TRC earned an Honorable Mention spot, and the Apaches got Jasper Walter on the list.
Maconaquah and Peru both were 7-2 and tied for second. The Braves had Sam Bourne on the First Team and Hayden Maiben as Honorable Mention, the Tigers had Trey Curtis, Daunte Majors and Matt Ross on the First Team and Kade Townsend as Honorable Mention.
Whitko claimed fourth at 6-3 and had Brett Sickafoose as All-TRC and Drake Lewis as Honorable Mention.
Rounding out the First Team list were Carson Rich of Southwood (5-4), Weston Hamby of Manchester (4-5), Grant McCarter and Quinn Stesiak of Rochester (3-6), Clayton Tomlinson of Northfield (1-8) and Tristan Working of North Miami (0-9).
Honorable Mentions included Max Carter of Manchester, Darian Hanley of North Miami, Alex Haupert of Northfield, Kyle Reinartz of Rochester and Connor Rich of Southwood.
