American Red Cross Issues Plea For Blood Donations
WARSAW – Due to the coronavirus pandemic, blood supplies are dwindling, as those who normally donate are staying home to avoid contracting the virus, according to a statement from the American Red Cross.
“It is so important that we replenish these blood supplies, as the need will not diminish. Even if you have never donated blood in the past, this is a wonderful opportunity to help others, and it takes less than an hour,” said a statement from the Red Cross.
Four local blood drives are scheduled in Kosciusko County through April. Bloodmobile staffers are well-trained in sanitizing all of the areas of the sites and will take all precautions to make sure that you have a safe donation, the news release said.
