Kroger Seeks To Hire Workers Displaced By Coronavirus
INDIANAPOLIS — Kroger’s Central Divison announced immediate openings at its stores Wednesday.
The positions may be perfect for people whose current jobs have been suspended by the coronavirus crisis, the company said in a news release from Kroger.
Owen’s Supermarket on Center Street in Warsaw is owned and operated by Kroger.
“Our current associates are doing remarkable work in the most difficult circumstances. They are our heroic, first-responders and we are grateful for their dedication to our customers,” said Kroger Central Division Manager of Corporate Affairs Eric Halvorson.
The hiring notice is a means to beef up teams at every store, according to Halvorson.
There are a variety of positions with openings, including at Kroger’s manufacturing plants and distribution centers.
“We have more than 500 openings across our division,” said Halvorson. “More than 140 positions are available in our northern Indiana stores right now.”
“Every role will help us keep the stores stocked with fresh, affordable food and other essentials,” said the news release.
Candidates can visit their neighborhood store to apply or submit an application at jobs.kroger.com. Applicants could be placed within just a matter of days, said the news release.
