State Representative Dave Wolkins Recognized For 32 Years Of Service By County Commissioners
WARSAW — State Representative Dave Wolkins was presented with a plaque recognizing his 32 years of service during the Kosciusko County Commissioners meeting Tuesday, March 17.
Commissioner President Brad Jackson and Vice-President Bob Conley each said a few words about Wolkins.
Jackson described Wolkins as “always accessible” and said “When you need something done, Dave’s the guy that can get it done.”
“I’m happy to see that you’re retiring because I know that’s what you want to do,” Jackson said to Wolkins. “But I’m sad at the same time.” Jackson said it would be some time before anyone would be able to fill Wolkins’ shoes.
“I think Dave will go down in history as one of those legislators who didn’t take a lot of frivolous things to the state to try to get it passed,” Conley said. “Dave has been instrumental in keeping a lot of bad legislation from being passed.”
Wolkins was then presented with a plaque engraved with the words: In recognition of Dave Wolkins and his 32 years of service as State Representative for District 18 and Kosciusko County, presented by Kosciusko County Board of Commissioners.
